BEACHES, world - renowned for their beauty, cleanliness and fine surfing conditions, are probably the Gold Coast's biggest attraction. 57 kilometres of beach stretches from Rainbow Bay to South Stradbroke Island, with 25 full-time lifeguards patrolling 14 beaches all year round.
