The celebrated Flying Fruit Fly Circus is back with their newest hit show set in a 1940’s rural junkyard. Converting trash into imaginative landscapes, Junk takes you for a ride to a time when the neighbourhood street was a yard full of exploits and imagination.
In these modern times, do we overprotect our kids? That is the question that Junk dares to ask. Junk narrates the story of a young boy finding himself in a forsaken junkyard populated by the spirits of 1940s children. They teach him lessons about playing, trusting, make-believe and risk-taking.
Loosely based on the childhood stories told by elderly residents of regional Australia, the young performers of JUNK will amaze you with death-defying acrobatics, poetic shadow puppetry and world- famous circus skills for the whole family to enjoy.
Catch the show from March 29 - 30 at Home of the Arts.
